Best watch i've ever owned.
I've worn it to work, to the pub, to the club and a few times with a suit. Looks good to me.
Great night light (comes on as you raise your wrist in dim light). Glow in the dark hands and digits anyway. All the usual casio features ie. stopwatch, alarm etc. (auto switch between daylight saving/summertime).
Fairly small secondary dials/display, no problem to me, possibly too small for some.
I am 100% happy with my new, reasonably priced, G-SHOCK watch!

I gave this watch 3 stars only because of the 3 small viewing holes to view its functions. I have to say though, in fairness, my eyesight has deteriorated but you must understand, I am not blind either? The two outside portholes are for, on the left the radio signal and on the right a 20 second LCD segment counter. The centre one though is for all other functions such as date-time-stopwatch-seconds-etc. The problem really comes in viewing the tiny figures in this centre window. It may be OK for younger people (as it looks very stylish) but along with the blue light, which is just OK to illuminate the face in the dark, you just can't see what the centre window is displaying. Other than that, is does what it says on the tin and my main reason I bought this new watch, was its features. I of course cannot test the 200m water resistance feature but if its anything like my last Casio which I dived with regularly to 30m, I reckon the fish are still being woke up everyday at 6:30-am in the Indian ocean. By the way, the Stainless Steel bracelet is first class and adds to the heavy body.

If you want a tough go anywhere sporty watch then this "chunky" casio G Shock GW-1400DU is a great choice. I have 7" wrists and this impressive looking watch looks great and is very comfortable to ware with its mixture of matt/shiny 143gms of stainless steel. I had to remove 4 links to fit - very easy with a small head jewelers type screw driver; just compress the linking barrel spring in the direction of the arrow on each link and job done in 5 min. The waveceptor radio time syncing works a treat and keeps exact time whenever I check it against the BT speaking clock or radio time pips. The solar cell keeps it charged so no future replacement batteries to worry about. When I first had this watch delivered the battery level indicator was showing "Mid' but after a few hours in the sun was showing "High". The light feature works very well either set to optional automatic when you tilt your wrist to see the time or when turning on manually - it gives a nice blue light to the watch face. This watch has a very good "Quality" feel to it and is very well put together. Only slightly negative things are the digital display windows are a bit small to see (I'm late 50s so could be my eyes!), alarm sound could be a bit louder, the small but comprehensive instruction book has very small type (if you can download the instructions from Casio web site for easier reading). Overall this watch fits the ethos of Casios G Shock series very well and I highly recommend it.
